Installation

Windows

Download and run NWB-GUIDE-x64.exe and follow all instruction prompts.

MacOS - Intel

This installation applies to previous-generation Apple computers (prior to M1-M4).

Download and run NWB-GUIDE-x64.dmg. This will prompt you to move the app into your ‘Applications’ folder. Then open the ‘NWB GUIDE’ app from your ‘Applications’ folder.

MacOS - Apple Silicon

This installation applies to current-generation Apple computers (M1-M4+).

Download and run NWB-GUIDE-arm64.dmg. This will prompt you to move the app into your ‘Applications’ folder. Then open the ‘NWB GUIDE’ app from your ‘Applications’ folder.

Note

Some data formats can have issues using this build of the application. If you encounter errors when using a particular interface, try following the advanced Developer Installation instructions.

Linux

Please clone the linux-dev branch of the NWB GUIDE and follow the Developer Installation instructions after the “Clone the Repo” step.
